Jackson, Tennessee - Information about the community and access to information about the Chamber of Commerce
MOPS - mops stands for “mothers of preschoolers”. There are two mops groups in Jackson. Order mothering materials from the Mopshop.

RESOURCES FOR WOMEN
Real Relationships - Drs Les and Leslie Parrott teach couples how to build healthy relationships. They host a nationally syndicated radio program, Love Talk and have appeared on many national TV and radio programs. Their books have sold over one million copies.
Woman Motorist - This site contains thousands of free articles including new car reviews, how to buy new and used cars and trucks.
Clark Howard - Atlanta-based radio host and consumer advocate, Clark Howard, advises on an array of topics from food to investing. Sign up for his on-line newsletter.
Finding Balance - A national organization dedicated to helping people struggling with eating disorders

Play Kids Games - Parents designed this site as a safe place to learn computer skills as well as reading, math and problem solving skills.
Crayola Kids - A fun and educational site that includes games, coloring, arts and crafts and more.
White House Kids - An educational and fun site with games and quizzes for kids, interesting facts about the White House, presidents past and present and a section for parents and teachers.
Baby Einstein - Find award-winning videos and DVD’s specifically designed for babies and toddlers as well as books and other infant products. These are fun, stimulating and entertaining products

Celebration Corner - Recipes and fun ideas from Nestle. Sign up for a free holiday newsletter.
Publix Aprons - Publix is one of the largest supermarket chains in the country, with most stores located in Georgia and Florida. The Aprons page has over 400 printable recipes complete with nutrition information and a shopping list.
Mrs. Dash -Looking for healthy, low salt recipes? Find some favorites in the site’s 300 recipes. Also register for prizes.
American Dietetic Association - Provides nutrition information.

Family Friendly Fun - Developed by the family of a child with multiple birth defects, this site offers topics of special interest to families of special needs children. It has a toy guide for differently abled kids.
FCC - FCC website defines obscenity, indecency and profanity; explains TV ratings and channel blocking; walks viewers through the process of filing a complaint
Family Life - A ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Subscribe to a host of marriage, family, parenting newsletters, sign up for a Weekend to Remember conference or listen to the broadcast on line.
Criminal Check - Find out if there is a registered sex offender in your zip code.
Focus on Your Child - "Helping parents raise healthy, confident and well-adjusted children." From Focus on the Family, it includes the Character Crew and the Family Night Guy as well as connections for kids, teens and parents
Baby Name Wizard - “The ultimate field guide to names…A complete ‘snapshot’ of every name: popularity, style, alternatives, sibling ideas and more…” A fun site-just plug in a name and watch the exciting graphics!
Fathers.com - "Helping you become a better dad." The site was created by the National Center for Fathering and offers tips and resources to help men be more involved with their children.
One Million Moms - An online community of mothers (dads at onemilliondads.com) aimed at stopping the exploitation of our children, especially by the entertainment media.
BUSINESS & FINANCE
Dave Ramsey - Radio host and financial counselor tells how to “beat debt…build wealth”. Sign up for his online “financial fitness gym” at www.mytotalmoneymakeover.com
National Do Not Call Registry - The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls. It’s not just for home phones; register your cell phone as well. Registration is free and effective for five years. Check the site for more information and exceptions.

How Stuff Works - From automobile engines to zippers, get the lowdown here on how things work. The site includes HowStuffWorks animation tours and a huge table of contents.
Cyndi's List - In to genealogy? Cyndi’s is the ultimate list of genealogy sites on the internet. It claims more than 241,000 links.
Wallbuilders - Wallbuilders is “dedicated to presenting America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation on which America was built…” David Barton is a speaker and prolific writer.
We have checked these websites and found them to be family friendly. However, it is wise to monitor your child’s use of the computer.
